About Us

With your support, we’ve been serving our neighbors in need since 1926. In fiscal year 2024 alone, we provided more than $1 million in financial assistance to 33,000 Pierce County residents. We helped 944 individuals experiencing homelessness obtain stable housing. We provided emergency shelter to 1000 people in need. We assisted more than 17,000 of our neighbors in need with basic needs such as help with utilities, rent, and food.

All are welcome. We help those in need, without regard to race, religion, or orientation. Our programs include:

• Day Shelter: our Community Resource Center is a safe place where community members from all walks of life can access case management, financial assistance, and have their basic needs met same-day.

• Homeless Prevention & Basic Needs: we help people struggling to pay for immediate needs, such as gas, rent, utilities, food, and more.

• Hispanic & Immigrant Support: wrap-around case management for resources & basic needs to empower and educate the Hispanic & immigrant community.

• Street Outreach: meets the unhoused where they are, providing survival supplies and building trusting relationships, with the goal of helping them attain long-term stability.

• Emergency Motel Shelter: we provide emergency shelter to families in crisis or during inclement weather events.

• Second-chance Employment: we provide on-the-job training and hire many people who are looking to re-enter the workforce and make a fresh start.

• Retail Thrift Store: we provide affordable clothing, household goods, and unique vintage & thrifted treasures to the community. We also provide in-kind support to those in need.
